The academic purpose of this programme is to provide further training for theologians, and to provide a foundation for further rigorous academic study in the discipline of theology.
The overall goal is to assist students in their understanding of, and reflection on, the lived experiences of the people in the Anglophone Caribbean in ways that deepen their sense of identity and heighten their sense of the possibilities under God for authentic living and human flourishing in this region.
The objectives of the programme are to promote critical and contextual reflection on the Biblical Texts as the primary source for Caribbean Theology, and with the option of an elective from the M.A. Cultural Studies programme, to facilitate the academic and cultural transition of an inherited Eurocentric form of Christianity to an authentic Caribbean one.
The deadline to apply for admissions is June 30th for Semester I and September 30 for Semester II.
We continue to offer undergraduate and graduate programmes to the sacred priesthood and continually seek ways to serve the church and wider community through ongoing creative efforts in designing courses relevant to our time.
